Support for Women and Girls from Vulnerable Groups in Chernihiv and Kyiv
Objective
To contribute to reducing the level of gender-based violence by raising public awareness and providing comprehensive support to affected women and girls through safe spaces in the cities of Chernihiv and Kyiv.
Key Activities
Within this program area, AUCO Convictus Ukraine implements a comprehensive support program aimed at preventing gender-based violence and strengthening the protection of women and girls from vulnerable groups.
The program combines awareness-raising activities, individual support for survivors, and psychosocial assistance. Particular attention is given to creating a safe environment where women and girls can access essential services and support.
Activities include awareness sessions on gender-based violence for individuals aged 14 and above, as well as a specialized training course for adolescents focused on violence prevention and building healthy relationships.
Women affected by violence receive individual support through case management services and access to psychosocial assistance. In Kyiv, a Safe Space operates, providing individualized support for women from vulnerable groups.
Additionally, the program provides humanitarian assistance in the form of certificates or vouchers for hygiene products and food for women and girls facing difficult life circumstances or affected by violence.
