Knowledge of resuscitation algorithms is quickly lost without regular practice. That is why a large-scale series of simulation training sessions was launched for mobile gynecological teams and doctors at healthcare facilities, with the primary goal of honing practical skills in basic life support (BLS).

The first simulation training session in the series was successfully held in Kropyvnytskyi. Fourteen specialists participated, including doctors, nurses, a project coordinator, and a driver from the mobile team of the Kirovohrad Regional Council’s “Regional Center for Family Planning and Human Reproduction.”

In total, 17 such training sessions are planned to be held throughout Ukraine by the end of November! Training sessions are scheduled in more than 15 cities, ranging from Kyiv and Lviv to Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv.

The All-Ukrainian Resuscitation Council (VRR) serves as the professional partner for the training. The course program was extremely intensive and lasted 8 training hours. Upon successful completion, doctors will receive certificates as well as continuing professional development (CPD) credits, which are important for their professional portfolios.

We are doing everything we can to ensure that mobile teams in local communities feel as confident as possible, are equipped with the most up-to-date knowledge, and save lives where they are needed most.

We thank our local coordinators for their help in organizing the training.

The mobile gynecological teams operate as part of the humanitarian response efforts of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, with financial support from Spain and in cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Convictus Ukraine.”
