Equality Kyiv: Rights and Health for Vulnerable Groups in Wartime

Objective

To strengthen the capacity of AUCO Convictus Ukraine staff to provide high-quality services to clients in the field of prevention of and response to violence in the context of war.

Key Activities

Within this sub-area, AUCO Convictus Ukraine strengthens cooperation with organizations and institutions providing social, medical, and legal services in Kyiv City and Kyiv Region to ensure effective referral pathways and access to comprehensive support for clients.

The activities are implemented at the Organization’s service centers, as well as at facilities for survivors of violence in Kyiv Region, and include comprehensive case management and a wide range of services, in particular:

  • • preventive counseling on violence prevention and response;
  • • screening and assessment to identify violence and determine its types;
  • • psychotherapeutic consultations;
  • • case management of violence against women cases;
  • • training sessions for healthcare professionals to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.

Target Groups

  • • internally displaced persons;
  • • vulnerable adolescents;
  • • people who provide sexual services for remuneration.

Geographical Coverage

Kyiv City and Kyiv Region.

The project is implemented with the support of Medicus Mundi Mediterrània and funded by Ajuntament de Barcelona.
