Support for Women Veterans, Female Family Members of Veterans, and Girls in Chernihiv on the Path to Economic Resilience and Independence
Objective
To improve the economic capacity of women veterans, individuals from the close circle of veterans, and people affected by war by combining psychosocial support, the development of professional and entrepreneurial skills, and individualized case management.
Key Activities
Within this sub-area, AUCO Convictus Ukraine implements a comprehensive support program aimed at restoring the life and economic resilience of women veterans and people affected by war. The program integrates mental health support, motivational interventions, and practical tools for employment or starting a business.
A key component is the motivational intervention “Opportunity Workshop,” which includes individual and group sessions focused on rebuilding self-confidence, setting life and professional goals, and developing self-reliance skills. Participants also take part in training on business start-up fundamentals and employment pathways, receive psychological and, when needed, psychiatric support, as well as individualized case management.
Special attention is given to mental health activities that help participants adapt to civilian life, overcome the consequences of wartime experience, and build sustainable plans for the future.
