Convictus Ukraine reported on a unique reintegration project for women ex-convicts

For the first time in Ukraine, it was possible to ensure sustainability in provision of social services to vulnerable populations through a delegation of authority to the government and establishment of a social institution on the basis of an existing practice of a non-governmental organization. On 23 February 2017, the Kharkiv Regional Council unanimously decided to set up a social institution, the Women’s Crisis Center.

UNODC and WHO discuss community-wide opioid overdose responses

In order to reduce opioid overdose deaths, the World Health Organization (WHO) recently recommended in its Community Management of Opioid Overdose Guidelines (2014) that the opioid antidote naloxone, as well as training in opioid overdose management, should be made available to people likely to witness an overdose, such as health professionals, police, people who use opioids, their families and peers.

28th of May on Truhaniv island Kyiv citizens will be able to get tested for HIV for free

On 28th May at 16:00 Convictus Ukraine and the Kyiv City AIDS Center, financially supported by AHF Ukraine and Alliance for Public Health (Alliance)  will conduct antiHIV campaign on Trukhaniv Island in Kyiv.

Why it's important to make sure Ukrainians are disease-free

Nowadays the spread of viral hepatitis, tuberculosis and HIV is wide-spread in Ukraine as well as in the Kyiv region. Today 12th of May  preventive сampaign was organized by Convictus Ukraine in the central Vasylkiv hospital showed that access to diagnosis - stimulates the desire of people to take care about their own health.

Convictus Ukraine presented the project of innovation center for adolescents who use drugs

6th of April in the state administration of Desnyanskiy district in Kyiv  there was a meeting  of governmental and non-governmental organizations.
 Problematic issues and urgent assistance to drug addicts and prevention of drug use among young people were the main topics of discussion.
